An Ionized Outflow in Orion-KL Source I?

چکیده
We present images at 6 and 14 GHz of Source I in Orion-KL. At higher frequencies, from 43 to 340 GHz, this source are dominated by thermal emission dust a 100 AU diameter circumstellar disk, but the is elongated along minor axis aligned with SiO bipolar outflow central object. Gaussian fits 6, 14, 43, 99 find component disk whose flux length vary frequency consistent free-free an ionized outflow. The data favor broad wind, rather than narrow jet. was undetected resolution 5 e-MERLIN observations obtained 2021. 5-6 structure SrcI may be resolved out high sidelobe synthesized beam, or time variable.

Identifying the Outflow Driving Sources in Orion-kl
The enigmatic outflows of the Orion-KL region have raised discussions about their potential driving sources for several decades. Here, we present CO(2–1) observations combined from the Submillimeter Array and the IRAM30m telescope. The molecular gas is associated on large scales with the famous northwest-southeast high-velocity outflow whereas the high-velocity gas on small spatial scales trace...
متن کاملTracing the Bipolar Outflow from Orion Source I
Using CARMA, we imaged the 87 GHz SiO v=0 J=2-1 line toward Orion-KL with 0.45 angular resolution. The maps indicate that radio source I drives a bipolar outflow into the surrounding molecular cloud along a NE–SW axis, in agreement with the model of Greenhill et al. (2004). The extended high velocity outflow from Orion-KL appears to be a continuation of this compact outflow. High velocity gas e...
متن کاملOH maser disc and outflow in the Orion-BN/KL region
MERLIN measurements of 1.6-GHz OH masers associated with Orion-BN/KL are presented, and the data are compared with data on other masers, molecular lines, compact radio continuum sources and infrared sources in the region. OH masers are detected over an area 30 arcsec in diameter, with the majority lying along an approximately E-W structure that extends for ∼18 arcsec, encompassing the infrared ...
متن کاملO ct 1 99 8 A molecular outflow traced by SiO masers in Orion - KL 1
We present full resolution (∼ 0.2mas, ∼ 0.1 A.U.) Very Long Baseline Interferometry maps of the v=1, J=1→0 SiO masers in the Orion-KL nebula. The morphology and turbulent nature of the maser emission argues against models in which the masers form in an expanding and rotating protostellar disk. Rather, we find that the symmetry evident in the SiO maser emission points towards its genesis in a bi...
متن کاملUsing VLBI to Probe the Orion-KL Outflow on AU Scales
We present the first contemporaneous 43GHz and 86GHz VLBI images of the v=1 J=2→1 and J=1→0 SiO masers in the Orion-KL nebula. Both maser species exhibit the same general morphology of earlier J=1→0 maser images which appear to trace the edges of a bi-polar conical outflow. Surprisingly, the J=2→1 masers form further from the central protostar than the J=1→0 masers, a fact not readily explained...
